Privacy Policy
Effective July 1, 2026. Currently available across Canada except Quebec. The English version governs; any French translation is provided for convenience only.
PensionInsights is a service of Infilarite Technologies ("we"), the business accountable for the personal information described here. It provides independent analytics about pension fund volatility. This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's PIPEDA (and Alberta/BC PIPA). This service is offered in Canada outside Quebec.
What we collect
Your email address; the funds you add to your watchlist; your subscription tier and billing status; and basic usage/analytics data. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Why
To operate the service (monitor your watched funds, send the alerts you request), manage your subscription, and improve the product.
Consent
By creating an account and checking the consent boxes you consent to this policy; you may withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time (this may end the service). We never sell your personal information.
Service providers / cross-border
We use third parties to run the service — a Merchant-of-Record payment processor, an email service provider, cloud hosting, and HubSpot for the contact form. Some of these process data outside Canada (including the United States), where foreign laws may apply. We use reputable providers under contractual safeguards.
The HubSpot form is not loaded until you accept optional cookies. Until then nothing from HubSpot runs on this site and it learns nothing about your visit. If you would rather not use it, email reaches the same inbox — the address is on the contact page.
Retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active and delete it (including from our email provider and backups) on request or a reasonable period after closure.
After deletion we may keep aggregated, de-identified statistics — such as anonymous counts of interest in paid plans — that cannot be linked back to you.
Access & correction
Email privacy@pensioninsights.ca to access, correct, or delete your data; we respond within 30 days.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
Breach
If a breach poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the Privacy Commissioner and affected users as required.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies plus, with your consent, optional analytics cookies. You choose via our cookie banner and can change your choice at any time.
